X-Men: The First Class Fan-Cast

I’ve given my two options for each character, so here goes. Comments are welcome.

Professor Xavier:
Choice A – Patrick Stewart
He may be aging, but he is an excellent actor, and he knows the role. Then again, the age factor may keep him away from a sequel.

Choice B – Timothy Olyphant
Does he have the chops? I guess you’ve never seen HBO’s “Deadwood”

Magneto:
Choice A – Michael C. Hall
He has a wicked and evil demeanor about him, and the acting chops too.

Choice B – Michael Rosenbaum
Yes, he would do well as Professor X as well, haven’t you seen him bald? (Lex Luthor on Smallville)

Ice-Man
Choice A – Daniel Radcliffe
We may or may not like Harry Potter, but he’s a good actor and has that pale/cold look about him.

Choice B – Elijah Wood
Ice Man is also known to be a wise guy, Frodo may have been a sober character but Elijah Wood is known to be lively.

Beast:
Choice A – Emile Hirsch
He’s hairy looking enough, I guess. lol. He’s a good actor but Speed Racer sucked bit time. He deserves another shot.

Choice B – Justin Long
Yes he’s slightly older, but has that smart geeky quality about him.

Cyclops:
Choice A – Zac Efron
I know almost nothing about him except he’s always talked about. He has the cyclops look and a decent acting career which I think a good role can help him solidify.

Choice B – Jamie Bell
Has a slightly older look than Efron, but considered to be a better actor.

Jean Grey:
Choice A – Megan Fox
I’m not a big fan of hers, but she does have a specific look about her that I think the movie could use.

Choice B – Isla Fisher
The hair and the look, she’s cute but also has a smart quality about her.

(Arch) Angel:
Choice A – Michael Cera
I’ve run out of reasons at this point, I think he would do the trick. lol

Choice B – James Mcavoy
We all enjoyed his role in Wanted, we all want to see more of his talents.

Joe Meno Builds LEGO Wall-E :-P

BrickJournal editor Joe Meno built this super slick LEGO version of the upcoming Wall-E robot (Disney-Pixar movie).  I’m sure the movie will rock, as all of Pixar’s movies do, but till the movie comes out.. this LEGO version will have everyone’s attention .

Death Race Movie Trailer Debut

Jason Statham’s movies can be hit or miss but most action guys like myself are fans regardless of reviews. Death Race is looking more and more promising as its release nears. . Here is the debut trailer:

Leonardo Dicaprio To Play Captain America!?

Minus the physical build, I think Leonardo Dicaprio would be the abolute best choice. Maybe they can have a physical trainer pump him up a little (no steroids). lol

Pros:
He has the strong “American look”. And more importantly the blond Hair, Blue eyes so Iconic for Cap.
He can act. No doubts he can bring that strong noble character of Steve Rogers and can keep up with Norton and Downey.
He is a big name. The playing up of the hero roles in Marvel Films suggests they will hit up some big name for these roles. They are not shying away for a “lesser name” anymore.
Leo is 6ft and in great shape.

Cons:
Leo is only 6ft. People will complain that he isn’t 7 ft tall. 6ft is good. But he isn’t a massive bodybuilder type.
Someone is likely to bark about his German/Italian heritage. But thats dumbness.

Kasdan Will Write ROBOTECH Movie. WHAT!?

FYI: Kasdan wrote Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Arc among other amazing films.

But Kasdan puts a whole new angle on it. Sure, he’s got Dreamcatcher lurking between now and when he wrote The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark, but bringing someone like him to the table means this could actually be happening.
