Busy Busy Busy. Bizz-E-B, tons of updates coming.
June 3, 2008I haven’t been blogging as much as I used to but am getting back into the swing of things. The folks came back from overseas so I had to fetch them. I had a lot of family over and a lot of stuff comes along with that and I finished building my gaming PC and spent some time playing Crysis.
In the next few days, I will be blogging up a storm, about:
* New LEGO sets, reviews and builds.
* My very own Race Driver Grid Review (PS3).
* My gaming PC build process & reviews.
* Fitness & Nutrition (time to share my knowledge).
* Cars/Automotive news, features, releases
* General geek stuff and movies/comics/music posts.
Stay tuned folks.
Smallville Is My Most Recent Obsession
May 29, 2008I was in Best Buy and saw Smallville season DVD sets on sale for $19.99 each and decided to pick up some. I bought the first 4 seasons. Having seen the show on and off, I didn’t know what to think of it, but just a few episodes into the show I knew I was hooked. That was three weeks ago, and today I am on season 3, episode 6 currently. I also went ahead and purchased the remaining seasons 5 and 6.
The Perfect Woman Is Actually… A Robot?
May 28, 2008I’m still not 100% sure if this is some kind of massive prank, but everything I have read so far tells me that it is authentic. Two robotics engineers (aka Geeks) Etienne Fresse and Yoichi Yamato started working together 2 years ago and decided to come up with the perfect woman. The company has their own website and everything looks legit. I wont get into the ethics on this, but it’s cool nonetheless. It’s basically a female “companion” for men. She can cook, clean and build a growing bond with her compan.. owner.. er… what would you call yourself? Oh.. her MASTER, yes, that’s the word. lol. No word yet on price, but they are taking pre-orders on “Lisa” on their website: Here.
On June 11th, they will release their first version of Lisa along with all the thousands of micro-sensors she has.
Vacation Day 3: Lancaster, Here I Come
May 22, 2008I woke up early and departed The Chateau. Day three saw me start driving out towards the Lancaster area. I stopped by a naval and aircraft base which was closed and took some quick shots before anyone became suspicious.
As I left the naval base an aircraft museum popped up on my right hand side, so I had to stop again to take some more shots. It was too cool to pass up and who knows if I would ever see it again.

The highway continued and I made my way towards the hotel that I was staying at in Lancaster county PA. Also known as Amish Country.
Fulton Steamboat Inn:
Arrived early and checked in without a problem. The hotel is shaped as a large steamboat and surprisingly the interior is very classy and warm. They use warmer colors on the inside of this hotel than my last one and the surrounding area was just as beautiful. (5/5)

Prof. Nacker’s Lost Treasure Golf & Maze:
This place was quite literally across the street from our hotel so we decided to go and have some fun. I’m not a big golf fan nor have I ever played any sort of golf, but it was fun and I want to go again, when the weather is a little bit warmer. They had two different courses, one was of the mountain and the other was on the pirate ship. I voted for the pirate ship. (4/5)

Vacation Day 2: Waterfalls, Hiking and Bowling
May 21, 2008My goal for day two was to simply forget about the stress of Day 1 (see lost bag in Day 1) and just continue to try and enjoy myself. The weather was still a bit annoying since it was raining on and off but I decided to take a risk and go to out and get some stuff done and see what else is in store here in Tannersville. This was my second day in the Poconos so I was in the same hotel, The Chateau.
Bushkill Falls:
The entry fee was $8 per person for the trail and hiking. They have four trails, some are as short as 15 minutes and the longest is just over 2 1/2 hours. I decided to go in between and take the yellow trail, which was about 1 1/2 hours. Of course my g/f isn’t much of a hiker so it took some convincing. The waterfalls here are simply beautiful and a must-see. I was both scared to death and amazed at the shere awesomeness that is a waterfall. We got pretty close to it and took a ton of pictures. (5/5)

After that, the trail became a bit less frightening. I hiked about 2 miles and saw a nice river as I did so. There were a lot of stairs and wooden bridges involved and needless to say, my g/f and I got a good work-out.

Callie’s Pretzel Factory:
While on my way back I saw this pretzel and candy factory and we decided to stop in and check out their pretzels. A few minutes later I walked out with a pretzel filled with baked apple and another with chocolate covered over it. (4.5/5)

Mountain Lanes Bowling:
In the evening, after my long day and dinner, I decided to go out and go do some bowling… for the first time in my life. I’ve never bowled before so I figured this would be a good time since the rain was coming down now and indoor activities were the only thing to do. (5/5)
Big Daddy’s:
This restaurant was pretty close and just up the road from us. I looked them up online and the reviews were pretty good so I said SHOOT. I ordered some chicken and risotto and it was fantastic. The problem here was the extremely rude employees who were vacuuming in the back of the hotel. I couldn’t hear myself think once they started vacuuming. I was hoping it would stop after a few minutes, but ten minutes later, I left in disgust. (4/5 for food, 1/5 for service)
